Background

As a dual-degree student at Arizona State University, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (Science, Nature, and Mind), with a minor in Linguistics. My academic interests lie at the intersection of these fields, particularly in exploring the relationship between the brain and consciousness. I am passionate about using an interdisciplinary approach to deepen our understanding of complex questions and develop innovative (go Devils!) solutions to real-world problems. Outside of academia, I enjoy volunteering, climbing, and exploring the vibrant cultural and culinary offerings of my community.

Research

I am passionate about exploring the intersection of my fields of study and applying an interdisciplinary approach to my research. Currently, I am working at the SOCIAL Neurobiology Lab under the supervision of Dr. Jessica Verpeut. The lab focuses on the neural and behavioral mechanisms underlying social behavior, with a particular emphasis on the impact of social experiences on brain development and mental health.

If you're interested in learning more about my research, please visit my Research page. There, you'll find detailed information about my current projects, past research experiences, and publications.

Teaching

As a senior undergraduate teaching assistant in the Department of Psychology at Arizona State University, I have had the privilege of working with students in a variety of courses and contexts. Under the guidance of Dr. Lynda Mae, I have developed and delivered course content, facilitated discussions and activities, and provided mentorship and support to my fellow students.

Interests

When I'm not immersed in my academic pursuits, I enjoy a variety of hobbies and interests. I am an avid climber and hiker, and love exploring the natural beauty of the world around me. I also have a passion for cooking and baking, and enjoy experimenting with new ingredients and techniques in the kitchen.

In addition, I am interested in learning new languages, and am currently studying Swedish and American Sign Language. Finally, I am an avid reader, and enjoy diving into a good book whenever I have the chance.
